It's late.
I should be in bed.
But I'm not.
I washed sheets today and the bed isn't made.
I'm hoping it will make itself if I wait long enough.
I had a full day.
I wanted to blog all day.
I wanted to blog about how much I miss Utah during this season.
I wanted to blog about our great weekend that refreshed me.
I wanted to blog about the color yellow.
I wanted to blog and tell all of you that my trip to Walmart was uneventful - the post about getting my purse stolen at Walmart was a dream - so sorry I didn't make that clearer at the bottom - thanks to all of you that were concerned for me - you made me laugh.
But instead I . . .
Picked up the tornado that blew through here (not a literal one - again, not a literal one).
I washed sheets for five beds.
I made banana bread.
I dusted.
I vacuumed.
I played Princess Matching Game twice.
I cleaned out the van.
I put sheets back on four bunk beds. (That has to be the worst job in mothering.)
I loaded the dishwasher.
I unloaded the dishwasher.
I loaded the dishwasher.
I made chili because someone else said they were making it and then I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth.
Yum!
You don't really want me to keep going do you?
Jason just said he'd help me make the bed . . . that's as close to the bed making itself as I'm gonna get so I better take him up on it.
Maybe tomorrow I'll blog about one of those topics.

Nic,
I so love reading your blog and getting your perspective on life! It seriously encourages me in huge ways! I have been missing Utah a lot lately... What I would give to see the mountains full of colors right now!
I laughed as I read this post... some things in your day and mine are so parellel... chili and cornbread for dinner tonight, blogging about Utah, changing sheets is the worst job of motherhood (though I would have to say crib sheets are the worst... i might have to blog about that one). Anyway, thanks for posting about real life : )
