THE PUMPKIN PATCH
Last Saturday the kids and I headed out to find the patch . . . the pumpkin patch. We had a great one 3 minutes from our house in UT and visited it a couple times each fall season. I knew the kids were expecting to go at least once here in Nebraska. I kept waiting for the perfect weather day to come but it didn't happen. It was cold but the kids didn't seem to mind! They had HUGE pumpkins! Other than wishing Jason was with us we had a good time! 3 hours of fun! I LOVE to end our fun days on a good note so we left as soon as I saw the first signs of everyone unraveling . . .you know . . . pick on each other, ignore what I was saying, take off without the group, whine over dumb stuff . . . . . all those are signs WE'RE DONE! I was pleased though with our 3 hours of fun!!
This cracked me up . . . boys . . . of all the pumpkins in this patch they found the rotted one. If I would have let them stay there long they would have had that thing completly disected. BOYS!
I'm always trying to get a picture of them without making a big deal out of it so I said, "Hey let's everyone sit on the pumpkim that they thing is huge and cool." Well, the one Carter picked wasn't really near the group - so much for my idea. But the picture of him is ADORABLE!! After I took a picture of JUST HIM he was happy to join the fam! Sometimes in a big family you just want your space. HA!
I think these were some corn grown pumpkins because they were huge!

Love the pics! Fall is my favorite time of year! The hay slide idea is pretty cool!
