Celebrating!

Lots of Celebrating the last several days.

We celebrated my Dad's birthday last night.
Had a great time -- my oldest brother couldn't make it so we face timed him there from Texas.
Got a picture of me, my 2 brothers and Dad . . . gotta love technology! lol.

We celebrated Tatum's 6th birthday this past weekend too.

Donuts for breakfast - nothing says love like sending your kids off to school full of sugar.
We didn't think that tradition through when we started it 10 years ago.

Tatum was picked for the Homecoming Coronation that evening so since she was all dressed up we went to eat at a nice place beforehand. She's all about a fancy restaurant.
The boys asked if they were going to sing to her.  I told them they don't usually do that at fancy restaurants.
Carter's response was, "Yeah they only do that at messy restaurants."

It was fun eating out all together. The last three years Jason has been at seminary on her birthday so it was fun to all be together on her day.

The Homecoming Coronation was like a bonus to her day.

Then the next day we did a Costume Fall Party with friends.
(Chalk board paint on a pumpkin)

(Thankfully Jason did the details so you'd be able to tell what it was.)

Everyone's costumes were great.
Even Jas and I dressed up at the last minute.

The most creative costume was Coleson's.
At the last minute he said he was going to be a pumpkin.
He emerged from his room like this and then went out to sit by the pumpkins.

Later he moved to the backyard.
It was hilarious.
He sat there for at least 10 minutes while kids came.
He was silent.
Then all of a sudden he'd start moving like a dancing pumpkin.
The first part of the party he rolled everywhere.
What a nut.

Simple Fall games made it fun.
Freeze Dance to Halloween music.

Instead of a "Fashion Show" it was a "Show us your costume on the trampoline".

Balance the Pumpkin on your head.

Pin the nose on the pumpkin.

Mummy Wrapping

Cake and Presents

(She told us that this is how Mrs. Peters shows things. It worked. lol.)

The pumpkin project was a hit - duct tape pumpkins.

From this point on there are no pictures of the activity.
Our hands were tearing as fast as we could for all the crafters!
They all turned out great.
So colorful.

Great celebrating!

Laughed out loud at Coleson's costume.
Love the pumpkins!
Funny that Jason had to do the details...you wouldn't be able to tell what it was if I did it either. :)
I don't think I've ever seen football players play in combat boots or barefoot, but Tatum sure looked cute. :)

Okay, upon further inspection...no combat boots were present. P.S. Love your striped sweater, too!
