Carter's story continues . . . he wore his sling for several days and then we took it off for a day following the doctors orders. THe next day the Dr. called and said the radiologist saw a break and so we had to go to an orthopedic doctor. Long story short . . . he had a small break in his elbow. THankfully it was above the growth plate and the elbow wasn't displaced so pins and surgery, which they had so generously thrown out as an option on the phone, didn't have to happen. The orthoedic dr. was awesome. He started from scratch with us and did his own x-ray. He saw the break and casted it. Carter picked a camo cast! He let them put it on with no problems. It wasn't until afterwards when he said, "Actually, I don't want this on!" Poor guy! It is water proof so that makes life easier!! He'll have it for three weeks and then hopefully get it off!! When he's frustrated and wants it off he'll ask if we can go see the Dr.. I told him the only person that can take it off is the Dr.

Oh my gosh that sounds so sad....hope that he is doing better, I would love to be a fly on the wall in your house for a day....ha!!
