A Day

A day.
These are totally not in order.
Two football games.
We were on time. Kids rocked at getting ready this morning.
One tooth knocked out before game started.
Second tooth knocked out this week for the same kid.
Thankfully both baby teeth.
First time to make home made salsa - divine.
Ate way to much of it.
Missed my man.
So tired I thought I might fall asleep at 8:30 and now it's 10:00.
Read books to three younger ones.
Wondered why they have to get so big.
Short thought provoking discussion with a friend about today's church.
Pulled over on the side of the road 3 times today.
One time a gal I know saw us and was worried so she pulled over not to far ahead of us - thought we had car trouble.
Had to tell her it was just for fighting kids - it's just not safe for me to drive with that racket; plus I'm over it with that business.
Dance Party in the van. (Not on the side of the road. Hours later. Different scene in the van at that moment.)
Cleaned out the van.
Could be what spurred on the dance party? Hmm.
Lunch with cousins and Grandma.
Melt down city with the girl.
She got over it (eventually).
Had an unplanned amazing conversation with all four kids about a sad topic/reality in our world.
I couldn't help but cry.
They made bold statements about things they'd do when they were adults.
Things that made me cry more. Happy tears.
Got to see Uncle Jim!!!
Couple boys took tractor rides with Uncle Jim.
I peeled off two stickers on van windows that had been there forever while I waited for those who took tractor rides.
The wind and the smell of cows kept me in my van - two things I can do with out.
I think spending that time in the back of the van is what spurred me on to clean it out. Yuck.
A few mom moments of ranting and raving over messes and talking back.
More moments of me frustrated that I rant and rave.
That method doesn't work.
Never will.
Never should.
Dinner on trays - mac n cheese / popcorn/ and a cold glass of sweet white wine for momma.
Movie Night -- not my choice of movie but my choice of snugglers.
Isn't it amazing what all we encounter in a day with four kids??
The good, the bad, and the amazing gets wrapped up into one day.
Goodnight.
