We've had several meltdowns (some were mine),
We had some unscheduled hair cutting (that would have been the cause of one of my meltdowns),
I've folded a weeks worth of laundry (you should have seen the mound),
and we've crossed a million things off of a packing list.
I had more to do today than any other day this summer.
Though it was a LONG day (and it's not over, I'm just taking a blog break), it is all leading up to a GREAT GETAWAY!
This clan is heading to the Texas Beach!!
We're all excited!
I think I've answered 100 questions from Tatum today, though she's been to the beach many times in her life it's been awhile so I think she's trying to remember what it's like?
Her: Can this doll get wet all over in real life?
Me: Yes
Her: Then I'm taking her.
Her: Can we take our shoes off at the beach?
Me: Yes.
Her: The sand feels so good on my feet!!
Her: Does the beach house have beds in it?
Me: Yes.
Her: It does? YES!!! Can we sleep in them?
Me: Yes.
To make it all more exciting we've been singing this oldie . . .
"Beach Baby
Beach Baby
Give Me Your Hand
Give Me Something That I Can Remember"
I added the whole song on my play list so we could sing along.
Every one of my kids has been able to sing the chorus to this oldie since they were two, thanks to our beach loving Grammy!!!!
She's given us MANY things to remember with beach trips, we know this one won't be any different!!
For all of you that hang out with me often at this site I've got several posts scheduled to give you some daily love, so keep stopping by.
I'll post pics of our adventures when we return.
For now I need to let the crossing off continue!!

I'm so happy you will be in Texas, even if I won't see, it's fun knowing you will be here. Are you going to Galveston, I'll be in Surfside a couple of days.

Thinking about you all, Nicole? Hope you don't have to change your song to "Rain Drops Keep Fallin' on My Head!!" I know your family will make the most of the week and make it an adventure no matter what the weather!! Stay safe -- can't wait to hear all about it.
